WRAP aggregates quality protocol

Here at D Haird & Co Ltd, we pride ourselves on our commitment to reduce waste and recycle as much as possible. We work on projects across East Anglia and implement the WRAP aggregates protocol on all jobs we complete.

What is the WRAP aggregates quality protocol?

The WRAP aggregates quality protocol was introduced to promote sustainable aggregate use, reducing the need for primary aggregates by encouraging greater use of recycled materials. The quality protocol for the production of aggregates from inert waste was produced by WRAP, the Highways Agency and the Mineral Products Association, in conjunction with the Environment Agency. It sets out the parameters for producing quality products from recycled materials to reduce the UK's reliance on primary aggregates.

Guaranteeing quality as standard

D Haird & Co Ltd operate in compliance with the WRAP protocol, ensuring that all recycled aggregates are produced in a consistent manner with management systems and testing procedures in place to guarantee quality.

Quality management system

To ensure compliance with the quality protocol, D Haird & Co Ltd has introduced an internal management system which documents and details all the procedures required to produce quality recycled aggregates. This ensures that everything is correctly produced and tested to demonstrate their quality, consistency and compliance with the relevant standard.
